The College of Nursing at our university conducted the final practical exam for the Community Health course for its students for the academic year 2025–2026, using the multiple-station system (OSCE). This was under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Diaa Kareem Al-Bayati, and the Head of the Community Health Branch, Prof. Dr. Ridha Mohammed Lafta Al-Tai, with the active participation of the branch's faculty members.
The exam included a number of specialized scientific stations (sections) aimed at evaluating the students' clinical and preventive skills. These included the Immunization station to measure the students' efficiency in vaccine programs and the cold chain, the Maternal and Child Health station to ensure mastery of integrated nursing care, as well as the Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illness station to assess the students' ability to handle common health conditions according to global protocols.
The exam witnessed the presence and supervision of the Examination Assessment Committee from the University of Karbala, aiming to ensure that the procedures conformed to approved academic standards. The tests were conducted with high smoothness and precise organization, reflecting the level of quality in the educational environment within the university.
For his part, the Head of the Branch, Prof. Dr. Ridha Mohammed Lafta Al-Tai, confirmed that the exam was characterized by comprehensiveness and a high level of commitment by the students to professional standards. He stated that adopting the (OSCE) system contributes to achieving exam fairness and measuring realistic applied skills that qualify graduates to enter the medical labor market with efficiency and competence.
